University of Bristol Botanic Garden
Diverse plants from around the globe
The University of Bristol Botanic Garden is a five-acre hidden gem in the Stoke Bishop area, designed to showcase the incredible diversity of the plant kingdom.
The garden is arranged into four core themes—Evolution, Mediterranean Climate, Useful Plants, and Local Flora—helping visitors understand how plants have adapted to their environments over millions of years.
The site features impressive glasshouses that recreate tropical and desert habitats, as well as a large pond and beautifully landscaped outdoor borders.
It is a peaceful and educational sanctuary where you can see rare and endangered species alongside familiar garden favourites.
With its regular workshops, tours, and seasonal displays, it provides a fascinating insight into plant science and conservation in a tranquil, leafy setting.
