Royal West of England Academy

Located in a stunning Grade II* listed building in the heart of Clifton, the RWA is Bristol's first art gallery and a premier destination for world-class exhibitions.

Its grand, naturally lit galleries provide a spectacular setting for a rotating program of works by both historic masters and contemporary artists.

As an artist-led institution, it is dedicated to promoting the visual arts and regularly features pieces from its own permanent collection alongside national and international touring shows.

The building itself is an architectural masterpiece, recently restored to reveal its original Victorian splendour, and the RWA Drawing School offers a space for visitors to get creative themselves.

It remains a vital hub for the city’s creative community and a must-visit for any art lover.
